Timeless movie and summer 68" masterpiece "The Swimming-pool", adapted from the eponymous novel by Alain Page, is directed by Jacques Deray. Shot on the heights of Saint-Tropez in Ramatuelle, this open-air camera denotes the rarity of the dialogues and gives pride of place to the staging.
Eight pages of script and four weeks of shooting around a swimming pool will be enough to make this film an iconic story with a sophisticated image.

One evening of filming Alain Delon talks to Jacques Deray about a collection of short stories by journalist Eugène Saccomano “Bandits à Marseille” which he wants to adapt to the cinema and to embody the bandits Carbone and Spirito, he thinks of Belmondo and himself. Jacques Deray is on board and will entrust the screenplay to Jean-Claude Carrière, one of the screenwriters at La Piscine.
